For insurance purposes, after an initial probation period of 4 weeks, all students must complete and sign a British Taekwondo membership form prior to any further training sessions. British Taekwondo Membership is valid for one year.
All students must have a valid British Taekwondo licence in order to be allowed to participate in any club training sessions. It is your responsibility to ensure that it is renewed prior to its expiration
unless prior permission has been granted a WT approved Dobok uniform and grade coloured belt must be worn during club training sessions in the Dojang. During the hot summer months a T-shirt may be worn but you must still wear your grade
coloured belt.
For safety purposes WT approved protection equipment must be worn for any contact training such as sparring one step and self-defence. Minimum required Bodyguard, Head guard, gum shield, Groin guard.
It is recommended and essential for hydration to bring sufficient water or sports drinks (not energy drinks) for drinking during breaks.
Gradings will be every 4 months and will depend on the student's attendance record, attitude, technical abilities within their belt grade syllabus, and at the discretion of the instructors.
It is important to watch and listen to your instructor during explanations, do not distract others, raise your hand if you have a question and wait until the instructor has finished explaining and has your attention.
Misconduct or disrespect in the Dojang or misuse of the Martial art will result in disciplinary action, which may result in being expelled from the club and any further training.
During training sessions ensure mobile phones are either on silent mode or switched off to avoid any disruption of the session in progress, unless prior authorisation has been granted by the instructor.
